We have searched for the northern lights in Lapland for years. We are part of the same group as the aurora experts Experience Tours Lapland. Each day we check the clouds, the activity and the roads. Then we tell you exactly where to drive that night.
Even with a clear sky, it is not always easy. On most evenings the activity is low. You need to know which numbers to read in the live solar-wind data. You also need a place with clear skies and an open view to the north. We show you exactly how to do it.
When the sky is cloudy or activity is low, and there is nothing to see in Lapland, we tell you. On those nights we suggest the best day trips by car instead. This way your rental days are never wasted.
