Can I rent a van in Rovaniemi?

Do the cars have extra lights for winter driving?
Yes. Every car and van has extra driving lights fitted. On dark winter roads they light up much more of the road and the roadside, so you can see reindeer and moose earlier.
Where do I pick up the car?
Two options: collect it yourself from our office at Rekkatie 1, Rovaniemi, or choose delivery within a 30 km radius of Rovaniemi to the airport, train station or your accommodation.
How does a contactless pick-up work?
Three days before the rental you receive a check-in link by email. It takes the €200 deposit, photos of the main driver’s driving licence and a short handover acknowledgement signed on your phone. The key box code and the exact location of the car are shown on the same page once those steps are done and the car is in place.
How does the security deposit work?
Your rental is paid when you book online. A separate refundable security deposit of €200 is pre-authorised on the main driver’s card before pick-up — on our card terminal at the office, or via a secure payment link for a contactless pick-up. It is held, not charged, and we cancel the hold within two business days of return once the car is back undamaged, on time and with a full tank.
What does Premium cover include?
Premium cover (€30 per day) reduces your liability for damage to €0, including windscreen and glass damage. Basic cover is included and has a €1,500 excess. Neither package covers tyres and wheels, the underbody, the interior, lost keys or recovery costs; these are charged at cost. Full liability applies in case of negligence.
What if the car gets stuck in snow or needs towing?
Call or message us first. Recovery and towing are charged at cost regardless of the cover you choose, unless the cause is a mechanical fault. Studded tyres, a full tank and a charged phone go a long way; on unploughed side roads, turn back.
What is Aurora & Beyond?
A free service for everyone who rents a car with us: a private Telegram channel (invitation three days before your rental) with a 3-day northern-lights forecast for Lapland, daily driving tips, the best viewing spots, honest alerts when no aurora is visible, and recommended day trips by car.
